Welcome to the Princessehof Ceramics Museum! We tailor our programmes and tours especially to your needs. Feel free to go through all the options and let us know your preferences at the bottom of the form. Our museum guides will then create a special tour based on your wishes.

Prices guided tour during opening hours:
€79 per hour (excluding museum admission)
For a day out with friends, an outing with the family or other fun company, guided tours can also be booked privately. The museum guide will then tailor the tour to the group. Combine this with tea and cake in the tearoom, and a delicious lunch or dinner at one of the nearby catering establishments and you have a perfect day out.

During the tour, our museum guides will tell you more about the works of art from one or more current exhibitions of your choice. The museum guide tailors his or her narration to the interests and level of the group. You can book an exclusive guided tour for your household.

An ideal activity for a family outing. The guide adapts the story to your wishes and to the ages of the group. All of our museum guides have an educational background and also regularly give guided tours to school groups.

Our museum guides have undergone special training for guiding people with dementia. By sharing stories, memories, associations and ideas, the participants bring the museum objects to life together. The guide helps them on their way with stimulating questions and creative assignments. Visitors with dementia can only participate in a guided tour with a companion.

Hard of hearing or deaf? Take the sign language tour of the exhibitions. The tour is suitable for both children and adults.

In cooperation with A Guide to Leeuwarden, the Princessehof is organising a tour from the Fries Museum to the Princessehof. You will get an introduction to the Fries Museum and then proceed to the Princessehof. During this short city walk from the Fries Museum to the Princessehof, the guide will tell you fun facts about the city. You will pass fascinating alleys, historical buildings, the nicest shopping streets and modern street art. Upon arrival at the Princessehof Ceramics Museum, the guide will tell you about the special history of the Princessehof as the birthplace of M.C. Escher and former city palace of the Nassau's.

You can also visit the museum outside of its regular opening hours and book a guided tour. The museum will then be open exclusively for you and your household. A special experience!
