From East and West The presentation of the permanent collection
In the exhibition From East and West you travel around the world and through time with ceramics as your guide. Every place and time has its own ceramics, which reflect political, economic and cultural circumstances. Moreover, knowledge and taste travel from East to West, and vice versa. Along the way you will discover unexpected similarities in styles, shapes and techniques from all over the world. From China, the cradle of ceramics, to the Frisian clay.
The museum’s permanent collection is displayed in From East and West, including an important collection of Chinese porcelain, Delft Blue and Dutch Art Nouveau and Art Deco ceramics.
